Aplicativo Gaúcha ZH was facing the need to undergo significant transformations in the production, presentation, distribution and consumer consumption of news in order to evolve into a modern content platform. Nodo was challenged to develop an innovative digital tool that would allow the integration and combination of the two main journalistic products from Grupo RBS, Rádio Gaúcha and Zero Hora. Focusing on the main goal of joining the services together into a seamless whole along with optimizing processes and ease of access, one of the main challenges was fusing public and professional journalism without losing the connection between the consumption of different forms of media.
In partnership with Grupo RBS’s staff, Nodo has acted as a strategic partner and consultant in regards to the development and management of GZH’s app. Aside from integrating two distinct journalistic platforms, the radio and printed newspapers, the tool aims at giving new meaning to digital journalistic products from Grupo RBS, which are presented in a transformative, meaningful and experiential manner.
Beyond strengthening the connection between the company and its subscribers, the GZH app gained visibility and broadened Grupo RBS’s clientele. In the first week of the platform`s release the number of app downloads increased by 202%. Besides, the company’s average daily subscriptions was three times larger than in previous weeks.
